Returns Policy

At Chasing the Sun, we strive to make your shopping experience as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible. If you change your mind about your purchase, we’re happy to accept returns providing your item/s meet the below criteria. Once you have read and agreed to the below terms and conditions, simply log into your customer account via the below link and request a return:

Return Terms and Conditions

Exclusions:

  • Pre-order & Sale Items: These items are final sale and cannot be returned unless faulty. Please choose carefully. This includes during store wide sales.
  • Hygiene Products: Teethers, swimwear, dummies/pacifiers, headbands, and beanies cannot be returned unless faulty.

Change of Mind Returns:

  • Returns for change of mind or where the incorrect size was ordered will only be eligible for a store credit (no refunds).
  • Returns must be requested via customer account within 14 days of order (or for postage orders, 14 days from tracked delivery date).  This includes faulty items.
  • Returns are only accepted on full-priced items. Sale and pre-order items are ineligible.
  • All returns must be approved by Chasing the Sun before being shipped back.

Return Process:

Should your order meet the above listed criteria, Please sign into your customer account via the below link and request a return on the item:

 

Approval: Once your return is approved, you will receive return instructions from us.

Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. A tracked postal service must be used and items must be properly packaged to avoid damage or loss.

Tracking Number: After sending your return, email the tracking number to hello@chasingthesunstore.com.au to ensure timely processing.

Processing Time: Once we have received the returned item(s), please allow up to five business days for us to process your return and issue your store credit. The credit note will be visible in your customer account and when logged in at check out. To access your account follow the link listed here https://shopify.com/28111831174/account 

Your credit note will not have an expiry date.

Faulty Items:
If you believe your item to be faulty, contact us within 14 days at hello@chasingthesunstore.com.au. We will arrange for the item’s return for assessment and may offer a refund, replacement, or exchange if deemed faulty. 

It is imperative you check all of your items carefully upon receipt as we are unable to accept claims made after 14 days.

Important:

  • We do not refund postage costs unless item/s are deemed faulty.
  • Returns outside the 14-day period (including faulty items) or items that do not meet the conditions above will not be accepted.

Why we don’t offer refunds for change of mind/ incorrect sizes:

As small business, we strive to provide quality products and excellent customer service. However, we do not offer refunds for change of mind/ in correct sizing due to several reasons:

1. Transaction Fees: Each transaction we process incurs non-refundable fees from payment providers. When a refund is requested for change of mind, we are still responsible for covering those fees, which impacts our ability to maintain affordable prices for all our customers.

2. Packing and Handling Costs: Preparing and shipping each order requires time, effort, and resources. This includes the cost of materials and labor involved in securely packaging your items to ensure they arrive safely. These costs are already factored into our pricing, and issuing a refund for a change of mind doesn’t recover those expenses.

3. Inventory Management: As a small business, each piece of inventory is valuable. When items are returned due to a change of mind, it can disrupt our inventory flow, affect stock levels, and potentially lead to excess inventory that we may not be able to resell.

We appreciate your understanding and support as a small business. We encourage our customers to make thoughtful purchases and are always here to answer any questions before you place an order to ensure you find the perfect item.

1. Offer Duration

  • Moving Sale commences 1.3.26 at 10:00 AM AEST (9:30am for VIP EARLY ACCESS)
  • Discounts and promotional codes are only valid during advertised sale period and cannot under any circumstance be backdated or extended.

 

2. Discount Details

  • Prices as marked
  • Some new release products are excluded from this promotion 
  • Offer cannot be combined with any other discounts, promotions, or rewards.

 

3. Stock Availability

  • All items are available while stocks last.
  • Adding items to your cart does not reserve them.

 

4. Order Changes & Customer Errors

  • No changes can be made to orders once they have been placed.
  • This includes changes to:
    • Items
    • Sizes
    • Colours
    • Discounts
    • Shipping details
  • Please ensure all order information is correct before completing payment.

 

5. Refunds, Returns & Exchanges

  • Our Risk Free Return Policy does NOT apply during Sales.
  • No refunds or exchanges are permitted for change of mind on any sale items.
  • No returns will be accepted for incorrect choice, ordering mistakes, or change of mind.
  • Faulty items will be assessed in line with Australian consumer law.

 

6. Back-Dating & Code Application

  • Discount codes must be applied at checkout.
  • The promotion cannot be back-dated under any circumstances.
  • We cannot apply discount codes after an order has been submitted.

 

7. Shipping & Processing Times

  • Please allow additional processing time due to high order volumes and moving warehouse 
  • Please select express post for fastest delivery method or reach out before purchasing if urgent.

 

8. General Conditions

  • The offer is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
